Home schooling has become a viable option for many parents who are concerned about their children’s safety and their education. Contact your state and verify what you need to do to teach your child through home school. Re-learning math is going to take you some time, make sure you start and finish it before you need to teach your child.

While this is not about your not being competent, it takes time to learn a new way of thinking about a subject. Your child will face tests which require them to understand math from the new perspective, if you teach them the old perspective, they will be unable to pass the tests.
